<br />
<br />
This page combines Flat Fabios, Starburst sprays and embossing powders in beautiful rich jewel shades, using minimal embellishments on the page, adding depth and ambiance from a selection of vibrant punchy colours.<br />
<br />

<br />
Spraying over chipboard or wooden shapes is a great way to add interesting backgrounds onto layouts and pages which is how I created my background in this project.<br /><br />
<a href="https://i1.wp.com/lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/LINDYS_JOURNAL_2.jpg?ssl=1"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-medium_large wp-image-27274" data-attachment-id="27274" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-description="" data-image-meta="{"aperture":"0","credit":"","camera":"","caption":"","created_timestamp":"0","copyright":"","focal_length":"0","iso":"0","shutter_speed":"0","title":"","orientation":"0"}" data-image-title="LINDYS_JOURNAL_2" data-large-file="https://i1.wp.com/lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/LINDYS_JOURNAL_2.jpg?fit=748%2C497&ssl=1" data-medium-file="https://i1.wp.com/lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/LINDYS_JOURNAL_2.jpg?fit=300%2C199&ssl=1" data-orig-file="https://i1.wp.com/lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/LINDYS_JOURNAL_2.jpg?fit=2144%2C1424&ssl=1" data-orig-size="2144,1424" data-permalink="https://lindysgang.blog/2017/08/24/minimal-embellishments-journal-page-lindys/lindys_journal_2-2/" height="425" src="https://i1.wp.com/lindysgang.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/LINDYS_JOURNAL_2.jpg?resize=748%2C497&ssl=1" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
Using a simple fine liner pen to draw around the outlines and ink splats really transforms and enhances the look of the page.<br />
<br />
I used embossing powders on top of stenciled gesso which gives an extra dimension and luster to the finish.<br />
<br />

<br />
I hope you are feeling fab and creative. I have a step by step for you today in which I create a card background using multi colour embossing technique ie. using a selection of powders on one project. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidbw29cIOcDmR5K5HxIB5-ptfZUIL_pJzapGoR5cAPatUFWOPWCmbeE5J4jxyuBtu9xiXPDZ7ci-viAd7H2rtDT3V0rBTUq40GfplRJahEb7P9B1X4XFMyeLKiCDDp-_thBb2Vmc3Y1vwt/s1600/WOWCARD_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1174" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidbw29cIOcDmR5K5HxIB5-ptfZUIL_pJzapGoR5cAPatUFWOPWCmbeE5J4jxyuBtu9xiXPDZ7ci-viAd7H2rtDT3V0rBTUq40GfplRJahEb7P9B1X4XFMyeLKiCDDp-_thBb2Vmc3Y1vwt/s640/WOWCARD_1.JPG" width="468" /></a></div>
I really love the vintage shades that turned out on this card, which would be great for masculine recipients! <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9f-tfMNdU8-zlWHUAk4jvfb6Ww4f2w6ktmcSHcDCdqimfF2owTqtIKhULrQK93ljEtCozqBfebu1wP_Q2V3-uqmkWs4whRmKa-PYuv8lDYXytlVWs09n6RwxbQLC7rlC8qhFK6pqQHIIJ/s1600/WOWCARD_STEP1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1238" data-original-width="1600" height="247" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9f-tfMNdU8-zlWHUAk4jvfb6Ww4f2w6ktmcSHcDCdqimfF2owTqtIKhULrQK93ljEtCozqBfebu1wP_Q2V3-uqmkWs4whRmKa-PYuv8lDYXytlVWs09n6RwxbQLC7rlC8qhFK6pqQHIIJ/s320/WOWCARD_STEP1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Step 1: I used a page out of an old book page for backing paper and then applied a 3D texture gel through a stencil with a palette knife tool. You could also use a heavy (thick) acrylic paint. This creates texture and gives a sticky surface for the embossing powders to stick to.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiexvmWS3ZCGlSyYPoVzqEdirB4FWvai_Gw4ku0VvpQwQtOlEIJFwyDRUgRZKDP72jYKd5LdYEA6VQFcNy1kihcLFzw8g0WXtjC-Jd-W73LjHcHJQjOOsbi2RQWqyR2a5tTgkosgmEpR1G/s1600/WOWCARD_STEP2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1054" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiexvmWS3ZCGlSyYPoVzqEdirB4FWvai_Gw4ku0VvpQwQtOlEIJFwyDRUgRZKDP72jYKd5LdYEA6VQFcNy1kihcLFzw8g0WXtjC-Jd-W73LjHcHJQjOOsbi2RQWqyR2a5tTgkosgmEpR1G/s640/WOWCARD_STEP2.JPG" width="420" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Step 2: I added pinches of three different embossing powders ; Heather, Oceanic and Champers, into the wet gel. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSziRIo9gzFRyd-DefCcPqEGnVjgtT1gJ-HJjAnSu-Zx185CdtAal-7Nbz0qIBc3mWSw-vX6ujfJe-plhoaN43JScLzuzmA744v0_MSEiu-I8iFoRU8iUA13ICBR5CvGKwpuFCIAeBBoAI/s1600/WOWCARD_STEP3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1196" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSziRIo9gzFRyd-DefCcPqEGnVjgtT1gJ-HJjAnSu-Zx185CdtAal-7Nbz0qIBc3mWSw-vX6ujfJe-plhoaN43JScLzuzmA744v0_MSEiu-I8iFoRU8iUA13ICBR5CvGKwpuFCIAeBBoAI/s640/WOWCARD_STEP3.JPG" width="478" /></a></div>
<br />
Step 3: I moved the paper around to enable the powders to cover the gel then shook any excess powder off. <br />
<br />
<br />
Step 4: To melt the powders I used a heat tool which also helps to dry the gel .<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtH06oaexG-K4fotZfayZikR1a2a5u52l1zgDQShvEbr2urlQv4HJ1ldGIyRA3MvryvQSD3V1Fyzcb_OxmaQpSlV-WlDPIJLV_J8yUZkrOAKWQSutrNXaNCOHvB4TRx4N_vDWCREE9a_TE/s1600/WOWCARD_STEP4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1158" data-original-width="1600" height="231" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtH06oaexG-K4fotZfayZikR1a2a5u52l1zgDQShvEbr2urlQv4HJ1ldGIyRA3MvryvQSD3V1Fyzcb_OxmaQpSlV-WlDPIJLV_J8yUZkrOAKWQSutrNXaNCOHvB4TRx4N_vDWCREE9a_TE/s320/WOWCARD_STEP4.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
To finish, I inked the edges and areas on the paper with black and blue ink pads, added die cut stars, trim, alpha stickers and highlighted around the card with a white pen.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
I hope you've been enjoying your Summer so far! I'm with you today to share my project for June's challenge theme on the <a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">WOW! embossing</a> blog, which is coincidentally Summer ;)<br />
<br />
My texture rich tag is filled with bright tropical colours, summer flowers, WOW! goodies and a fabulously cute wooden flamingo <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp_aKRJ2FEkHRcWxplCI41DnjbnXfYWgAPqg9A4repdFJGE5hAYwSTMFLvkg1vi1j25jEkO40m71pLEu_8HhUPOps5H0ZbdNRllKSs5l1_rhSqH_EKrQQD92jhDmHEkuXLBVHHTBO5lt8o/s1600/WOW_tag_1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1063" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp_aKRJ2FEkHRcWxplCI41DnjbnXfYWgAPqg9A4repdFJGE5hAYwSTMFLvkg1vi1j25jEkO40m71pLEu_8HhUPOps5H0ZbdNRllKSs5l1_rhSqH_EKrQQD92jhDmHEkuXLBVHHTBO5lt8o/s640/WOW_tag_1.JPG" width="424" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
The base of the tag consists of layers of die cut shapes which I had accumulating in my craft storage.<br />
I lightly brushed areas with a soft matte medium and sprinkled Emerald City embossing glitter to highlight.<br />

Inside the oval chipboard frame I used some Clarabelle Sparkles glitter which I adhered with glue applied into the centre recess with a paint brush. I used the same process on soe of the flowers using Salsa emissing glitter, which adds a little texture to them along with definition. Very simple but it looks great just to add a little bling onto projects! </div>

<br />
I hope you're all doing well. It's been a long time no see, eh? <br />
<br />
Over on the<a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank"> WOW embossing blog</a> this month we have the theme of journaling and memories and as<br />
I'd had a longing to do some journaling recently this brief fitted perfectly and allowed me to scratch my creative itch, so to speak.<br />
<br />
So my page is a rather atmospheric affair which was inspired by one of my favourite songs and the reality of worries and fears. The beauty of journaling I find, is channeling fears and worries onto a page and giving them a creative outlet. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1MNV4YlTSi1bZhTCUKyx0Z1yvBDqHCRRn-k549Dw4S-6_sspZJVoHHRnNzeQs9dyO4uDZyo1n_YiIrkHVBRrUG3TbULEppr1egM5zVfGfmiwo_4f_wA4-oeRETH_T5z-irxqvnnB_mIGI/s1600/wow_art+journal_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="328" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1MNV4YlTSi1bZhTCUKyx0Z1yvBDqHCRRn-k549Dw4S-6_sspZJVoHHRnNzeQs9dyO4uDZyo1n_YiIrkHVBRrUG3TbULEppr1egM5zVfGfmiwo_4f_wA4-oeRETH_T5z-irxqvnnB_mIGI/s640/wow_art+journal_1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The monochromatic colour scheme worked well with the general theme of the page adding in some small areas of metallic embossing powders lifted it just the right amount. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLPB3eX5wsvNY1tOoQhdWUKtDzpwYNxJj6SxW9zJHA1nwfz_buYnosUPpw3Rp_86ppSZcPxxLSn-MTIYepxS95BlrSKZVWFZV66vHXP9xg5cbczAVa1r8c-s3VAMS26cmYD8aQxY7TC5lA/s1600/wow_art+journal_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="404" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLPB3eX5wsvNY1tOoQhdWUKtDzpwYNxJj6SxW9zJHA1nwfz_buYnosUPpw3Rp_86ppSZcPxxLSn-MTIYepxS95BlrSKZVWFZV66vHXP9xg5cbczAVa1r8c-s3VAMS26cmYD8aQxY7TC5lA/s640/wow_art+journal_2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used Melt It powder, Ebony black embossing
powder and silicone heart mould to create the embellishment which is
incorporated into the photo with cotton trailing out from underneath
onto the following pages, entangled with words. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSfYQ7K_LFF_L93WEI5cavoArnzheWW9CaAkx3X4wT3xum0J2a3SA7bPtmGN7Q0fn0My22qYIKg-n-RX8Pe_5COV82isPhNnURGZedfImrTyO45rB1SSwwS5tFzDBEkTKkBy4D_vvYSmRn/s1600/wow_art+journal_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSfYQ7K_LFF_L93WEI5cavoArnzheWW9CaAkx3X4wT3xum0J2a3SA7bPtmGN7Q0fn0My22qYIKg-n-RX8Pe_5COV82isPhNnURGZedfImrTyO45rB1SSwwS5tFzDBEkTKkBy4D_vvYSmRn/s640/wow_art+journal_3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Perissa thick embossing powder adds a texture around the photo and in loops of gathered cotton. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqG5LVaf8ThNdAoFw9c7P8oGrkfZOXWTpJmx98gJLnaGHRH5qhasoEbs86ZUf0_XyWYDJV7os6gDrgCnxJWCBjynI7HlE4cirfgaQmaGxQ5HGJS5nzO5tGnXtbF9yo4Z8Ma96utOy0S38O/s1600/wow_art+journal_4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqG5LVaf8ThNdAoFw9c7P8oGrkfZOXWTpJmx98gJLnaGHRH5qhasoEbs86ZUf0_XyWYDJV7os6gDrgCnxJWCBjynI7HlE4cirfgaQmaGxQ5HGJS5nzO5tGnXtbF9yo4Z8Ma96utOy0S38O/s640/wow_art+journal_4.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The Go Figure numbers stamp has been stamped with black ink around the edges of the page, then
stenciled over with a number design and light texture paste. I added
Champers and Ebony black embossing powder on top of the wet paste then
melted to give metallic sheen. <br />
<br />

<br />
Hope you are well. My latest project takes on the theme of the month over on the <a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">WOW! blog</a>, which is favourite embossing techniques. I have showcased a couple of mine in this Spring themed egg shrine, complete with the sweetest tiny bird and nest. Read on to find out what they are!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifbx-U3lqjRW1tPu6QE3xgmzJMxMMfUTMJx0Oal1JC4k_qr0b7k3fbaCvCgcyqxaqBG66kptJwXD5FDtAbpxaQm0Uh5_e2ytmzK-okSxcud_AaRfrJxo0Ex0NJEfc_SyYDlmyv-KLHgPGD/s1600/WOW+EMBOSSED+EGG.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifbx-U3lqjRW1tPu6QE3xgmzJMxMMfUTMJx0Oal1JC4k_qr0b7k3fbaCvCgcyqxaqBG66kptJwXD5FDtAbpxaQm0Uh5_e2ytmzK-okSxcud_AaRfrJxo0Ex0NJEfc_SyYDlmyv-KLHgPGD/s640/WOW+EMBOSSED+EGG.JPG" width="410" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The project started out with a plain papier mache egg decoration which I attached to a 3D metal cake mould tin via a cotton reel.<br />
<br />
I glued a selection of paper flowers on top of the egg, then added flowers and painted all with chalk paint. For my first favourite technique I stamped a honeycomb design stamp from WOW!'s Hearts & Twine set with the Ultra Slow Drying clear ink pad, sprinkled with Clear Gloss embossing powder then melted with a heat tool.<br />
<br />
Next I sprayed gold mica spray ink over to create a resist effect with the clear
embossing on the surface of the egg. Into the the wet spray I added Rose Gold embossing powder onto the top of
the egg and melted to give texture and contrast to the flowers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYi2NmZsPv8AD_vdD1MMLqBAoV3I45SMWnV0SduqZOludXKomNEQqmmZxLn1hrKwmQO1Z4eaaPvL78DPnZEwKQhAYKsWcSu96rfp3uHNG6ma_YnJhkclSt11SjJz8i-8dKKHNDTgRgWAdg/s1600/WOW+EMBOSSED+EGG_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYi2NmZsPv8AD_vdD1MMLqBAoV3I45SMWnV0SduqZOludXKomNEQqmmZxLn1hrKwmQO1Z4eaaPvL78DPnZEwKQhAYKsWcSu96rfp3uHNG6ma_YnJhkclSt11SjJz8i-8dKKHNDTgRgWAdg/s640/WOW+EMBOSSED+EGG_2.JPG" width="404" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The tin has been painted with the same chalk paint as used on the egg then decorated with a cluster of flowers around the base. To highlight the flowers I used Fairy Tale and Rose Gold powders to give
shimmer and natural looking highlights.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnLZ7WBRS7K69Q7YlDkz5vsWf9GbeZDDpWsOQVRk4aTf0ZpPkLuJPCq7bze5c9h9SwhX-8lWkAAHblw3UUJOyg0PWJOxaagarIeOf3oBKfXpISk1lz3OU1N-oCze7JSp3EMlV3Kx0PZqwi/s1600/WOW+EMBOSSED+EGG_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnLZ7WBRS7K69Q7YlDkz5vsWf9GbeZDDpWsOQVRk4aTf0ZpPkLuJPCq7bze5c9h9SwhX-8lWkAAHblw3UUJOyg0PWJOxaagarIeOf3oBKfXpISk1lz3OU1N-oCze7JSp3EMlV3Kx0PZqwi/s640/WOW+EMBOSSED+EGG_3.JPG" width="424" /></a></div>
<br />
And a peek inside....<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
What's your favourite embossing technique? I'd love to know!<br />
<br />

<br />
Welcome! Today I am very excited to be a special feautred guest designer on the <a href="https://blog.lindystampgang.com/2017/03/29/sea-life-tag-with-fran-westmoreland/" target="_blank">Lindy’s Stamp Gang</a> blog. I’ve created a mixed media tag with some marine vibes incorporating Lindy's sprays and Magicals powders.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl3sITWSjwldvz0qJ6su11pdksjDERFMCfQmmhJ45Ofg5IIL4zjKihHgHZQBZB4-h8HPsUF-v4d0DwmkKWwC-8WbZcKMavVr0XphiFZpUyYMMcxJSoCDnaUrlZvnNlZS9wS8h1gGhuv0ab/s1600/lindys_tag_1_watermark.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl3sITWSjwldvz0qJ6su11pdksjDERFMCfQmmhJ45Ofg5IIL4zjKihHgHZQBZB4-h8HPsUF-v4d0DwmkKWwC-8WbZcKMavVr0XphiFZpUyYMMcxJSoCDnaUrlZvnNlZS9wS8h1gGhuv0ab/s640/lindys_tag_1_watermark.jpg" width="456" /></a></div>
<br />
By using a bare wooden tag with the Magical powders and water creates a wonderful stain into the woodgrain and gives a great base for the project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihxKnn5-jLbxvNRotxUvYgYexImBk3O3GEGrdsSHjpo-3TbMsKmnNQpFr-puxfr_bNgm0137l486VrR_JC_FFwohS8H-XZk8HswtSjM279-62pAJjPp4CLmPKq4zNcP4epUmT0Cm7wQhf8/s1600/lindys_tag_2_watermark.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihxKnn5-jLbxvNRotxUvYgYexImBk3O3GEGrdsSHjpo-3TbMsKmnNQpFr-puxfr_bNgm0137l486VrR_JC_FFwohS8H-XZk8HswtSjM279-62pAJjPp4CLmPKq4zNcP4epUmT0Cm7wQhf8/s640/lindys_tag_2_watermark.jpg" width="424" /></a></div>
<br />
I have had fun with some re-purposing on the tag, using pieces of metal (shell and seahorses) from old pairs of earrings which I covered in gesso and Lindy’s sprays.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHwT-PqzYdgP1XIKqY6D4S4QJV_MuAS6xE12ikpVfqF4TJ3pEUk2DtAByYdxwE_hx6nVxDGrbTDShKDfNwIG-6iWkkiCj3lrFiFNwK9tMnPLLkQrpM1OlbZ9aRGteDutSVqggtjN-CxJnO/s1600/lindys_tag_3_watermark.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHwT-PqzYdgP1XIKqY6D4S4QJV_MuAS6xE12ikpVfqF4TJ3pEUk2DtAByYdxwE_hx6nVxDGrbTDShKDfNwIG-6iWkkiCj3lrFiFNwK9tMnPLLkQrpM1OlbZ9aRGteDutSVqggtjN-CxJnO/s640/lindys_tag_3_watermark.jpg" width="424" /></a></div>
For some texture I used tulle net material and a transparent 3D gel medium mixed with Cotton Candy Pink Magical powder which lets the color show through beautifully.<br />
<br />
<br />
You can see the tag being created right here in this video tutorial!<br />

<br />
<br />
I'm sharing a quick and simple Spring inspired card today filled with bright fresh colours and some added bling with<a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank"> WOW! </a>Sparkles glitter and embossing powder.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilBMDixaz5vkPN_uwV9kk7CeztuyDY69qz_CSM6ltHNk5RC6LhJaZ7NGffMP1LHsh4X9AHHMV0TqjohcZoy0ifqndKRr4oGz1Rs26DSc4desNeLoaS0G2Skgnkx29oGhlHDjYm_rIjIl4/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+SPRING+CARD_1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilBMDixaz5vkPN_uwV9kk7CeztuyDY69qz_CSM6ltHNk5RC6LhJaZ7NGffMP1LHsh4X9AHHMV0TqjohcZoy0ifqndKRr4oGz1Rs26DSc4desNeLoaS0G2Skgnkx29oGhlHDjYm_rIjIl4/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+SPRING+CARD_1.JPG" width="410" /></a></div>
I
started off by applying soft gel medium to the edges of the card which I
then covered with Pumpkin Spice Sparkles glitter to create a blingy
border frame and to add some definition.<br />
<br />
I've kept the
back ground of the card relatively simple with a layer of gesso spread
over patterned to give a white washed look and then stamped with the
honeycomb stamp from the Heart & Twine
set.<br />

Some gesso and glitter makes a big difference to paper flowers!<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
To
embellish I've used a selection of flowers, feather and resin
embellishment which I created with WOW Melt-it powder, which I made by
mixing 1tbsp tablespoon of Melt-It powder with 1tsp of Avocado embossing
powder in a foil tin and then melting the powders together. Once melted
I poured the liquid into WOW's feather silicone mould to create a resin
embellishment. To finish I added some glue on the tip of the feather
and sprinkled with Seahorse glitter to co-ordinate with the real feather
which it nestles alongside.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed a quick simple Spring card!<br />

<br />
I hope you're feeling well and inspired. I'm really excited for today's post, which has taken a long time coming lol. I'm finally able to share my new workshop projects for 2017 with you all! These projects have had a lot of love, work and soul put into them over the past two months and I'm really pleased how they have all come together. There are six new Prima classes and one new WOW! class, combining lots of new techniques and products. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip8a9MVEfqlpwHEvJNqYaveRUlob72ighS-mutF8w__dmY9G-AtVt6TktMxJgejYr9hNzemXuz2YD0QgameZjc3euubLKiJKkZ1_k7xfuHEPF8c6ENfTuCw-rd04yURka3PRGq2zJJaSoe/s1600/workshop_collage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip8a9MVEfqlpwHEvJNqYaveRUlob72ighS-mutF8w__dmY9G-AtVt6TktMxJgejYr9hNzemXuz2YD0QgameZjc3euubLKiJKkZ1_k7xfuHEPF8c6ENfTuCw-rd04yURka3PRGq2zJJaSoe/s640/workshop_collage.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I've also created a video to showcase the projects in more detail below. <br />

I hope you like them as much as I do. I'd love to know what you think! <br />

<br />
I hope you are well and feeling creative. My post today features plenty of bling and shine with this cute box / card combo I created using <a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">WOW's</a> new Sparkles glitter. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZL4P9qaLcxMTS4V1jaKqhk6OHYMWnC2NHVHjaEy2iDwWa-QO-Ta9z2NQU8XFMXvTTANAg9pop18LAkpziVzDrZ-wGlDEp9ELg68103_PUNaMszYLGHIdQXCK2x_-jPTky1f92ho3hcocd/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="610" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZL4P9qaLcxMTS4V1jaKqhk6OHYMWnC2NHVHjaEy2iDwWa-QO-Ta9z2NQU8XFMXvTTANAg9pop18LAkpziVzDrZ-wGlDEp9ELg68103_PUNaMszYLGHIdQXCK2x_-jPTky1f92ho3hcocd/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
My substrate was just a plain old gift box I'd saved which I painted with chalk paint. I used Peppermint Stick glitter over stenciling details and added a touch of Perissa embossing powder onto the stones which surround the flowers. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivZ8g0jwk5P-1J3D1cixk-3FkqoUViFbLBLU9MTTXph-Yq_szr_E9Wfbta9sPyz6_vh-47VZGeLby-c05_BzNNd4Ts58rWmSzyT2sq7FHqKqAnEbML0FR64O-N3a5nDAxSwTvfYDIkqwxO/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_4.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivZ8g0jwk5P-1J3D1cixk-3FkqoUViFbLBLU9MTTXph-Yq_szr_E9Wfbta9sPyz6_vh-47VZGeLby-c05_BzNNd4Ts58rWmSzyT2sq7FHqKqAnEbML0FR64O-N3a5nDAxSwTvfYDIkqwxO/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_4.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Adding pink and a deep purple inks into the glitter gives a tint and a more blended, softer look to the Sparkles.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi82RF1TWw1HOdHQRKegjdeIIQgNrLCFjYN1Et9-5dteLwFM8FldVtZOqhSngEGt4x0Ys8aQadue-pVTZ2-BQi7h8xlpqOAj5dU95y__IGELGedCCvIaEc7rkY0ifNffwRTCzoiW7X27QEh/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="490" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi82RF1TWw1HOdHQRKegjdeIIQgNrLCFjYN1Et9-5dteLwFM8FldVtZOqhSngEGt4x0Ys8aQadue-pVTZ2-BQi7h8xlpqOAj5dU95y__IGELGedCCvIaEc7rkY0ifNffwRTCzoiW7X27QEh/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Open the box to find a micro greeting card inside! The card is decorated with a heart covered in both Peachy Keen and Prom Queen Sparkles glitter . I softened the heart outline with stones and the Perissa embossing powder which was used on the front of the box.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDJ0zadojg6mQK7vmYKBZOQL0h9rW-bTE00jaN-E3C9sCZjcALOxSLZEOGPLWa1HBl9_jvrFE5bVK5ueUWmXzdcC7y-KkCcYUp8VBi1YiZomiW9x3ac2mYTn0uffuc9j4TDFoXQ9yWNmJr/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_5.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDJ0zadojg6mQK7vmYKBZOQL0h9rW-bTE00jaN-E3C9sCZjcALOxSLZEOGPLWa1HBl9_jvrFE5bVK5ueUWmXzdcC7y-KkCcYUp8VBi1YiZomiW9x3ac2mYTn0uffuc9j4TDFoXQ9yWNmJr/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_5.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
I stamped the sides of the box with the lines and brush strokes stamps from WOW's new release Wall Art set. I think they work really well together, creating an almost basket weave pattern.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLRUt0p0qLhE6dRwHd3WEpP5Uoa6siGOwIfRdenpmgzreZ9r6On8ED4wM1EIlkfVOfptx5rsCbVwkiO2ybVb6cWy76CTSdJevT1WGySNdzG-V-4m_QIEXNUEBx6tEteoDUnntUeLN6NR-R/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="494" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLRUt0p0qLhE6dRwHd3WEpP5Uoa6siGOwIfRdenpmgzreZ9r6On8ED4wM1EIlkfVOfptx5rsCbVwkiO2ybVb6cWy76CTSdJevT1WGySNdzG-V-4m_QIEXNUEBx6tEteoDUnntUeLN6NR-R/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+GLITTER+HEART+BOX_1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
See how the glitter lifts everything? Just by added small touches of it here and there makes a big difference to projects! <br />
<br />
<br />
I hope you're inspired to give WOW's Sparkles a try and don't forget to join in the challenge on the <a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Challenge" target="_blank">blog!</a><br />

<br />
Today is a very exciting day.... it's time for a WOW! embossing blog hop, where we are celebrating the new releases for 2017. And boy, they are exciting!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe4i-O-RWp-nq4Yu26DMvduYJsndabRSYNB-YeaolkxsTNoOAZDKRNqnmmAqqMr13wHzfYK8-8TlrCCaHi9ytYIhNyeA3hAzGn7YNeUOANt7QV7fZWViJP8QHlE7hOGG1ZN2RuFMVi1OPG/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+HEARTS+%2526+TWINE+STAMP+CARD_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe4i-O-RWp-nq4Yu26DMvduYJsndabRSYNB-YeaolkxsTNoOAZDKRNqnmmAqqMr13wHzfYK8-8TlrCCaHi9ytYIhNyeA3hAzGn7YNeUOANt7QV7fZWViJP8QHlE7hOGG1ZN2RuFMVi1OPG/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+HEARTS+%2526+TWINE+STAMP+CARD_1.JPG" width="494" /></a></div>
created my card using the new Wall Art, Hearts & Twine stamp sets, Sparkles glitter and gorgeous new embossing powders. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEad98r52JeHurWkYZVz-7BvN3gllbLEMOPJXgL1d_1o9UvD4TfOaixkjnw7leU2X-1sltvcjStqfXIujsJ03yFdmyTi0QBfSOVMJbDgz8JAUgEbBMSFB0cM20p9Rvu2SqvpHPjKJE8bKA/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+HEARTS+%2526+TWINE+STAMP+CARD_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEad98r52JeHurWkYZVz-7BvN3gllbLEMOPJXgL1d_1o9UvD4TfOaixkjnw7leU2X-1sltvcjStqfXIujsJ03yFdmyTi0QBfSOVMJbDgz8JAUgEbBMSFB0cM20p9Rvu2SqvpHPjKJE8bKA/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+HEARTS+%2526+TWINE+STAMP+CARD_2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The blingy Sparkles glitter (in Celebration and Coral Beach) works perfectly accenting areas of projects. Here I've used them around a die cut circle and under a piece of acetate.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC6TCYyjZbDhZVfTh7mQpznxfn5BCWM5s85vh-zjQfdgUDDMfOld-t_0DCgTH41KDMLtN0kfZhaiqlPMzRVsjAVRnkxYCWJ5preLGyMydL0xZnvKLYlMoB0lu1C8xw-flLa0myZSrcohad/s1600/WOW+SPARKLES+HEARTS+%2526+TWINE+STAMP+CARD_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="430" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC6TCYyjZbDhZVfTh7mQpznxfn5BCWM5s85vh-zjQfdgUDDMfOld-t_0DCgTH41KDMLtN0kfZhaiqlPMzRVsjAVRnkxYCWJ5preLGyMydL0xZnvKLYlMoB0lu1C8xw-flLa0myZSrcohad/s640/WOW+SPARKLES+HEARTS+%2526+TWINE+STAMP+CARD_3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
For the focal point, I stamped the smaller heart from the Hearts & Twine set and adhered glass micro beads into the centre. I then sprayed with a mica spray and added pinches of embossing powders (Champers, Rose Gold, Perissa, Sand Dune and Copacabana) into the wet surface before melting and drying with a heat tool. <br />
<br />
<br />

Hi everyone!<br />
<br />
I hope you are all warm, cosy and ready for the festive season. Today's post is my last project of 2016 - how is the year nearly over already?!<br />
<br />
So on with today's creation for <a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.com/2016/12/winter-joy-card-video-tutorial.html" target="_blank">WOW embossing </a>, which is this last minute festive card along with a
video tutorial in which I create this Wintery card using WOW! Fab
Foils, embossing powders along with showing you how to create your own
DIY embellishment (which gets the full WOW! treatment!).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYtjm0oeCmmWRi1XEnuw1Mgq9oUR3jG4uxOffPBwf364hz8VTFgcsL3ENA8F58VUjtgjPCsXXe22VBUj9oKd49QC0lOc3uLqXedS0ppmXncndOqUiWzLQpSZZNfaRn_3v_GszzE4J0IxM/s1600/WOW+EMBOSSING_JOY_CARD_1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="596" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYtjm0oeCmmWRi1XEnuw1Mgq9oUR3jG4uxOffPBwf364hz8VTFgcsL3ENA8F58VUjtgjPCsXXe22VBUj9oKd49QC0lOc3uLqXedS0ppmXncndOqUiWzLQpSZZNfaRn_3v_GszzE4J0IxM/s640/WOW+EMBOSSING_JOY_CARD_1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I
used a selection of powders on the project to alter and add some
seasonal sparkle;
Silver Hologram Sparkle, Vintage Peacock embossing glitter, Opaque
Bright White plus my favourite Copper Fab Foil. Stamping always gives a
complete look to background areas, and on this project I added subtle
snow flurry details with the mini background stamp from WOW's Let It
Snow set. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE5Kn5joviX6IPidTz05sc29hIPmc788ge9Vo95TASTapsIXcE9ljjUKECOGDz0iLTW7nVGPMV-HLiYT6za5CzMAuz9XRPqVQ4YHt6Asp9UdpvYOE74DcL4E0WmEd_mNewI97_mNkkcyg/s1600/WOW+EMBOSSING_JOY_CARD_2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE5Kn5joviX6IPidTz05sc29hIPmc788ge9Vo95TASTapsIXcE9ljjUKECOGDz0iLTW7nVGPMV-HLiYT6za5CzMAuz9XRPqVQ4YHt6Asp9UdpvYOE74DcL4E0WmEd_mNewI97_mNkkcyg/s640/WOW+EMBOSSING_JOY_CARD_2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Customising chipboard letters with Fab Foil is such a fun and easy way to alter and add some shine.<br />

<br />
I do love a good 3D project at this time of year. So in my latest video I decided to alter a 3D box picture frame mixed media style using gesso, glitter, embossing powder, tissue paper and a host of Prima embellishments to create a cosy Winter lodge. <br /><br /><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe width="320" height="266" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/AXer5s-YRDo/0.jpg" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/AXer5s-YRDo?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>

<br />
Full start to finish tutorial above (with kitsch music ;) )<br />

<br />
Hope you are all well. I have some more festive inspiration for you today with a new video tutorial today, with this one focusing on how to alter old Christmas tree baubles.<br />
<br />
I think most of us all have those ugly baubles and tree decorations that are old, tatty or just the wrong colour! So my tutorial will show you how easy it is to alter and customise a bauble in (pretty much!) 5 easy steps. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe width="320" height="266" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/_yuM7gTyK9c/0.jpg" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/_yuM7gTyK9c?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
I use mostly salvaged and natural decorations and of course a Prima flower had to get in there ;)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA6rsdCr4YJf9F7cpMTCSM0EGPA5w7wH_Fy4tC4BT4DEV2fJUlTaX4oFKsFXqxJBxzKhPweNpI3r_ki3Vea6o1v8ChPfx-weX2AXsP21BQZevjQIsr-Zj6AgwKryi8eNJPtnthJ4LlJbmE/s1600/BAUBLE_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="522" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA6rsdCr4YJf9F7cpMTCSM0EGPA5w7wH_Fy4tC4BT4DEV2fJUlTaX4oFKsFXqxJBxzKhPweNpI3r_ki3Vea6o1v8ChPfx-weX2AXsP21BQZevjQIsr-Zj6AgwKryi8eNJPtnthJ4LlJbmE/s640/BAUBLE_1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
Frosty berries...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5dpJItauaLqavKKTPe_gPmCQ8ztIJFXfgoWQCa1rGT1lMPlwEVW-asmf-Jm3q0UgDFx4y6MSTx94LnuRWHOKGF1fX6yXH-KrCmdxeNPK7587aSZyvzubdc-F2bptlK7WjuzBQxTR2ORaI/s1600/BAUBLE_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="472" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5dpJItauaLqavKKTPe_gPmCQ8ztIJFXfgoWQCa1rGT1lMPlwEVW-asmf-Jm3q0UgDFx4y6MSTx94LnuRWHOKGF1fX6yXH-KrCmdxeNPK7587aSZyvzubdc-F2bptlK7WjuzBQxTR2ORaI/s640/BAUBLE_2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I really love to use spices at this time of year and that goes for my projects too! Here I've used star anise spice pods on the bauble. <br />

Prima Art Alchemy paint by Finnabair adds the opalescent sheen on the bauble and embellishments.<br />

<br />
My Christmas tutorial-fest continues today in which I create this mixed media 3D Christmas tree. <br />
<br />
My step by step tutorial shows how to create a decorative tree using old tinsel, paint or gesso and glitter. This project is great as a table centre piece, tree topper or sideboard decoration. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
How lovely is this Santa sticker from Prima (Victorian Christmas, 2015)?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The pearl and crystal wire sprigs add a bit of luxury on top of the tree, which were decorations from Christmas crackers!<br />

<br />
I hope you are all fine and wrapped up from the cold, wet weather. Here in the UK it has been so miserable outdoors so I wanted to brighten things up with a merry and bright festive gift bag. Over on the <a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">WOW! embossing blog</a>, we've turned our heads to Christmas projects this month...yes it's creeping up fast! <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_ihbYBZ9hAPz9__kfzstbnXChE2SF5VDo8ScZG_Ov0dImERVW-onjQtogdNz8RSb6FAGyFLuYq_NDPgqjGhIN6NTm5jcPNvr2OsIxpA7vVXNJRwxqFmOZEpCnLmc7XBaplMRY2vDqVbYi/s1600/wow+embossing+let+it+snow+gift+bag.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_ihbYBZ9hAPz9__kfzstbnXChE2SF5VDo8ScZG_Ov0dImERVW-onjQtogdNz8RSb6FAGyFLuYq_NDPgqjGhIN6NTm5jcPNvr2OsIxpA7vVXNJRwxqFmOZEpCnLmc7XBaplMRY2vDqVbYi/s640/wow+embossing+let+it+snow+gift+bag.JPG" width="424" /></a></div>
<br />
I love this non traditional colour scheme, adding pinks, fresh aqua and chartreuse green to white. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGhTWjuGR_sJlb85Fe_6xEUq4idEvginlNjWOlIEBVhN2BIshzUMrVMbE1yV6hqbsa9ngc1QguQ3FHuytpAnnBzjL_qNSVrji4_RwwOiy_UY2T8trHW1eUjUj9JKRalSfgJqQJfYo-_9ha/s1600/wow+embossing+let+it+snow+gift+bag_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGhTWjuGR_sJlb85Fe_6xEUq4idEvginlNjWOlIEBVhN2BIshzUMrVMbE1yV6hqbsa9ngc1QguQ3FHuytpAnnBzjL_qNSVrji4_RwwOiy_UY2T8trHW1eUjUj9JKRalSfgJqQJfYo-_9ha/s640/wow+embossing+let+it+snow+gift+bag_2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The background of the bag has been stencilled using a piece of die cut 12x12 paper with a snowflake design, then spreading heavy gesso through to create texture. Next I sprinkled Bluetiful embossing powder into the wet gesso and melted to leave this fabulous semi transparent glossy aqua finish then sprayed a matte pink mist over the top to give a resist effect with the glossy embossed area. <br />
<br />
For the doily which sits behind the "25", I rubbed over the clear ink pad and added a sprinkle of Metallic Platinum Sparkle glitter embossing powder - this is a great way to add some zing to your doilies, creating custom designs and colours.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy-rBOQ8VLkKqbvOyAMROIgmPQEqRxIDvlgKBxUjkB5hpHdHe7HuzjVBCQ1Vi6l464UYxekiHqY7VT93bm0t0ARLzczEdhZPd4KCWteGDZhzbauwDeIf53UuWTpvRMS3FXnlTus3DqfIog/s1600/wow+embossing+let+it+snow+gift+bag_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="468" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy-rBOQ8VLkKqbvOyAMROIgmPQEqRxIDvlgKBxUjkB5hpHdHe7HuzjVBCQ1Vi6l464UYxekiHqY7VT93bm0t0ARLzczEdhZPd4KCWteGDZhzbauwDeIf53UuWTpvRMS3FXnlTus3DqfIog/s640/wow+embossing+let+it+snow+gift+bag_3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This cute little tag has been created with shrink plastic tag along with the "Merry Christmas" and snow flurry stamps from the Let It Snow set. I just stamped the snow onto white shrink plastic with a pink ink pad then stamped the greeting on top, heated the plastic and hey presto!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6DKr4HIFmCcJs4R51nL-CJ0RvATv52iqxvPEvYXg2BGrbeulY1Yk3TG0FVavNalzvlNF4sP8n-bZqUdMRczcTHGgfGv1ir1SWHWa5peROKwY_pGuo_OuwYZ_opJptAP4OBKgJGiWoX-d_/s1600/wow+embossing+let+it+snow+gift+bag_4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6DKr4HIFmCcJs4R51nL-CJ0RvATv52iqxvPEvYXg2BGrbeulY1Yk3TG0FVavNalzvlNF4sP8n-bZqUdMRczcTHGgfGv1ir1SWHWa5peROKwY_pGuo_OuwYZ_opJptAP4OBKgJGiWoX-d_/s640/wow+embossing+let+it+snow+gift+bag_4.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="424" /></a></div>
<br />
The main panel on the bag is just a piece of corrugated cardboard which I highlighted with gesso, then sprinkled over White Puff embossing powder to create a texturised snowy look. The main embellishments are a set of chipboard numbers which I tapped with WOW's ultra slow drying clear ink pad and sprinkled on a selection of powders : Peppermint Tea and Pink Lady and Silver Stratosphere which adds a wonderful festive sparkle! I finished the numbers off with crystals and some paper flowers.<br />
<br />
I hope I've given you some inspiration to play with some less obvious colour schemes for the festivities and have a go at creating your own packaging. It's so fun, easy and a wonderful way to package up a well chosen gift!<br />
<br />

<br />
I hope you are having a great week. It's video tutorial time again, yay!<br />
<br />
This start to finish layout tutorial follows on from my last video, focusing on how you can create projects using very little with this layout using only three products: gesso, Prima oil pastels and standard graphite pencils. Just to showcase how a few well selected products can go a long way without always needing to use a truck load of embellishments! While we all love a pretty trinket or flower it's good to scale down and make the most of few items,<br />

A warm hello to you all! <br />
<br />
Today's post is a "just because" journal page, which I created in about 25 minutes
from start to finish. It was one of those free flowing creations which
had little planning put into it (the best way) but was something created for
me, no pressure, nothing complicated, just born from some thoughts I had knocking
around my head at the time which I just put through onto the page.<br />
<br />
The way art journalling should be really.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWGNB4PGeuUIS3y1jXPdmqXVrE34fqao3pl-Q_JusjnFZHzRStPtz9LSShZqpl1OyS3TSEvOiXTgZZ4yYUVyKl8jhTB-2yhrNKPnOCZeNu-ekxtK94zfehYB4suBj1t288QuNeisOiOH_k/s1600/security_1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWGNB4PGeuUIS3y1jXPdmqXVrE34fqao3pl-Q_JusjnFZHzRStPtz9LSShZqpl1OyS3TSEvOiXTgZZ4yYUVyKl8jhTB-2yhrNKPnOCZeNu-ekxtK94zfehYB4suBj1t288QuNeisOiOH_k/s640/security_1.JPG" width="630" /></a></div>
<br />
sticker which came from a clothing order (I'm an avid online shopper, can't you tell? ;) ) and the moment I saw it I knew I had to use it on a page of mine. The feeling of security: whether it's a physical or mental place, it's the one you return to for security, like a comfort blanket.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHr7tFtzy2yIZQHmTU5YayNrsp2AWGJvGUFMByftKNtfgjY-AX5gdQXTPYwwHZLNVuYz2LD4hhzMnqfQHrnT16-XX_GkU3ZqDI_Fm9AjsAJJoAKj-q5Vmx2b34Nv0mi-FcDHr5GaFMvgb5/s1600/security_3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHr7tFtzy2yIZQHmTU5YayNrsp2AWGJvGUFMByftKNtfgjY-AX5gdQXTPYwwHZLNVuYz2LD4hhzMnqfQHrnT16-XX_GkU3ZqDI_Fm9AjsAJJoAKj-q5Vmx2b34Nv0mi-FcDHr5GaFMvgb5/s640/security_3.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
The creation was simple; gesso spread onto the page, a sprinkle of Prima Finnabair mini art stones, pencils, inks, some stenciling with light texture paste and a stamp.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3i3STboMpSJjHh0CknUQu2mYg6x2iDF6HI3FBwydBQKdcoqWOsuXEv3pamGt7rTUDyI-BtQ3FzSHENdOwbTvv9KmyA4udQFIVwyFqboNX-ygVMXVM_2IgF0yjRV4C_SdVzgfJS-iVIhyt/s1600/security_4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="470" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3i3STboMpSJjHh0CknUQu2mYg6x2iDF6HI3FBwydBQKdcoqWOsuXEv3pamGt7rTUDyI-BtQ3FzSHENdOwbTvv9KmyA4udQFIVwyFqboNX-ygVMXVM_2IgF0yjRV4C_SdVzgfJS-iVIhyt/s640/security_4.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
The bright red of the sticker matched with rich warm
colours of Ecoline water colour inks (yellow ochre, vermillion and
scarlet) that I'd picked out. I love this combination , adding in brown sepia gives almost a burnt look to the fiery colour scape. <br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
I hope you are all in fine fettle. Today's offering for you today is once again in miniature form - yes I'm addicted teeny tiny pixie projects!<br />
<br />
These are
a set of mini canvases which I've had in my stash for a good long while which I
decided to use as card toppers. In keeping with this month's <a href="http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">WOW! blog </a>DT feature which asks us to use one stamp three ways, I've created these projects with my chosen stamp coming from
the Pick 'n Mix set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Do you recognise which one it is?<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN4-hYcfT7aBDKR2APliBMQKw9ySPKAjzMx42UyDD9slynzs2aiVU8WMpkYOX_GE4GekvWmELnDphIowTiSwjB64lvs9U9BJwlE1soC9tEfy_xgfxIIsD2hbnB0jLK0j4dQYSOnkQg7uE/s1600/WOW+PICK+N+MIX+STAMPS+MINI+SET_1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN4-hYcfT7aBDKR2APliBMQKw9ySPKAjzMx42UyDD9slynzs2aiVU8WMpkYOX_GE4GekvWmELnDphIowTiSwjB64lvs9U9BJwlE1soC9tEfy_xgfxIIsD2hbnB0jLK0j4dQYSOnkQg7uE/s640/WOW+PICK+N+MIX+STAMPS+MINI+SET_1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For
the first topper I prepared the background with gesso and paint, then
stamped the circular stamped randomly with black ink. I added die cut
chipboard on top to create depth and filled the recesses in with
embossing powder (Mandarin, Black Ebony and Clear Gloss), using glass
beads for texture. I have a bit of a thing for skulls and adore this
wooden cut from Alter This which I pimped up with gesso, fine liner pens
and more micro beads. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSE0N1ATrzPiYwzw49h5PsAMVAasJfE6xuC5DjuEPRpinYnoPGVcWxwnr1P9INOk3VA3EfAXJqfqkxVjs6CduBFipqX4e9id-OfHJr94DncD7hB45aliYqV68CNlSTXH28tAN03v1LQAM/s1600/WOW+PICK+N+MIX+STAMPS+MINI+SET_3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSE0N1ATrzPiYwzw49h5PsAMVAasJfE6xuC5DjuEPRpinYnoPGVcWxwnr1P9INOk3VA3EfAXJqfqkxVjs6CduBFipqX4e9id-OfHJr94DncD7hB45aliYqV68CNlSTXH28tAN03v1LQAM/s320/WOW+PICK+N+MIX+STAMPS+MINI+SET_3.JPG" width="294" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The
simplest topper of the trio has the stamp utilised as a flower by
cutting away lined "wedges". I mixed this up with paper flowers plus a
couple of pieces of lace then painted over water colour ink and
sprinkled
White Puff embossing powder which I melted to created a 3D mottled
effect. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN-UVXX3tFDh8n1-uM-Ucz-39tD5c3p_YbcSV1vx5WAU7Tx1IYbvNdl-X1TEq8o9XEBAD6_mLa5ZJZE93l__nZMIq_ymLEEu05HbfGU8MTarl0Xv7qsWRpXdoh3E7KMgB3ft9YXH1oXbM/s1600/WOW+PICK+N+MIX+STAMPS+MINI+SET_2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN-UVXX3tFDh8n1-uM-Ucz-39tD5c3p_YbcSV1vx5WAU7Tx1IYbvNdl-X1TEq8o9XEBAD6_mLa5ZJZE93l__nZMIq_ymLEEu05HbfGU8MTarl0Xv7qsWRpXdoh3E7KMgB3ft9YXH1oXbM/s640/WOW+PICK+N+MIX+STAMPS+MINI+SET_2.JPG" width="636" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The
last canvas topper is a mixture of many different bits and pieces I had
laying around. I do love to use these up on cards, great way to waste
nothing! The background for this one started with a layer of gesso and
net material which I pressed in whilst still wet then covered with
Midnight Dream, Silver Stratosphere and
British Summer embossing powders and melted. The circle has been stamped
onto thin metal with a clear
ink and Black Ebony powder to create this industrial looking little
embellishment. For the other details I've used torn paper, washi tape,
cotton, mis-matched gems and small pieces of WOW Melt It! foil tray. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhey-uqz9Ii34VtusII4Iy7v82B5b9IIfy_8GzDvy8GTpKMGiDVTW_jhs_L5ArChsTLM_fiEl24Gt92IYgleS_3m6G5dHP-kKEbVXc7ZJPMm8p5e0y8POKxOHBAuMWwmBPksk85D9SnpOc/s1600/WOW+PICK+N+MIX+STAMPS+MINI+SET_4.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="634" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhey-uqz9Ii34VtusII4Iy7v82B5b9IIfy_8GzDvy8GTpKMGiDVTW_jhs_L5ArChsTLM_fiEl24Gt92IYgleS_3m6G5dHP-kKEbVXc7ZJPMm8p5e0y8POKxOHBAuMWwmBPksk85D9SnpOc/s640/WOW+PICK+N+MIX+STAMPS+MINI+SET_4.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I finished off with a phrase we should all heed: remember to play....<br />
<br />
I hope you've found some inspiration to use with your stamps, have fun and be creatively free!<br />

<br />
I do love a good card making session and went with some of my favourite colours; denim blue, hot pink and aqua. The background was created by stamping doodle circles (new WOW! ones guys;) and filling in the centres with embossing powder. It give a quick, fun and effective finish.<br />
<br />

<br />
I used the feathers WOW! silicone mould with air dry clay and covered the embellishment in Primary Blue Tang and Silver Sparkle embossing powders. Cork, denim and mini playing card elements add some interest and texture to the card. <br />

I finished with a playful, whimsical "just because" greeting as that's what this card was all about; being free, fun and just because!<br />

Hello lovely crafty friends!</div>
<br />
<br />
I hope you are all doing well. I have a dose of
WOW! embossing inspiration to share with you today with these micro mini wonders or ATC's (artist trading cards). I have used a
selection of WOW embossing powders to create a variety of textures and
effects.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTj6i1bFOU2lBFhElFHyn8Xa8XsAg2bQKTR6-0GfZKzG_8UjjJrPmmjY0sIx-GID-XoGKAeHjfPmgkaNO-1Qm-XXivYd6uMG3SxZb2QsK0RBGIllsCBIEH3effRksecRd4C3cmv0Y321c/s1600/wow+embossing+atc+cards+set.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="370" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTj6i1bFOU2lBFhElFHyn8Xa8XsAg2bQKTR6-0GfZKzG_8UjjJrPmmjY0sIx-GID-XoGKAeHjfPmgkaNO-1Qm-XXivYd6uMG3SxZb2QsK0RBGIllsCBIEH3effRksecRd4C3cmv0Y321c/s640/wow+embossing+atc+cards+set.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And
here is my set of three ATC's together. I wanted to create a set which
matched in terms of colour scheme and accents but were all individual.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMUAkxeBNxrnTmTFb-AWpCte-ZTKhB9qzfwBUm80glpmqCx1wchIUDitc21zV5pFO1GGHpGR8alu0dzmpI6OMAz251TBMJuI5qZV4_g0msWFOK9ZxjtnWB51idbSZAfXXGSJVgUT65qx4/s1600/wow+embossing+atc+card+copper+fab+foil.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMUAkxeBNxrnTmTFb-AWpCte-ZTKhB9qzfwBUm80glpmqCx1wchIUDitc21zV5pFO1GGHpGR8alu0dzmpI6OMAz251TBMJuI5qZV4_g0msWFOK9ZxjtnWB51idbSZAfXXGSJVgUT65qx4/s640/wow+embossing+atc+card+copper+fab+foil.JPG" width="472" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The
base for this one stared out as an old postcard which I cut down
prepared with gesso. I stamped the circular stamp from the Spark 'n'
Shine set all over the card then adhered pen nibs and pieces of crumpled
Copper Fab Foil onto one of the stamped circles to fashion the main
feature of the card. Textures have been created with the use of micro
beads, Copper Ultra High and Blueberry Cheesecake embossing powder which
I melted over the beads. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP-nreBq56Usx-nOxnSgAY_02L4VipY-YWT0YLRTt6y-XKAvOGl2Sj93VscrELclBXAhFIqpgA0gI312CWSsz-9lchGMAwFWAxWuBxaRucKDxOWWN5Yg_Bn7P9PR_jlmlLehuGEQVCPFU/s1600/wow+embossing+atc+card+melt+it+heart+mould.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP-nreBq56Usx-nOxnSgAY_02L4VipY-YWT0YLRTt6y-XKAvOGl2Sj93VscrELclBXAhFIqpgA0gI312CWSsz-9lchGMAwFWAxWuBxaRucKDxOWWN5Yg_Bn7P9PR_jlmlLehuGEQVCPFU/s640/wow+embossing+atc+card+melt+it+heart+mould.JPG" width="424" /></a></div>
For
the second ATC I used the same postcard, again cut down to form the
base card and added gesso to prime the surface once again. using some
mica spray to which I added Green Pearl and Peppermint Tea embossing
powders which gave a beautiful subtle shine to the background then just
layered embellishments and highlighted with Ultra Rich Gold powder. <br />
<br />
The
resin heart embellishment has been made using the WOW! Hearts mould and
Melt It powder mixed with Silver Stratosphere embossing powder. I've
finished the card off with a border stamp from the Pick 'n' Mix set. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYIWOay2e5OFBCeHBQ-yX_Dmacrzom6_uah84dZ7Dz9N_fBys3gxLi_4shhJhOsM-fB5KTzMNyFBdzEl1gfuAKbKPihM7RyMtJO43AW2blGjJE4uYR4xmGgixrRn_zB3fk5rjzMW0EdUk/s1600/wow+embossing+atc+flights+of+fancy+stamp.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYIWOay2e5OFBCeHBQ-yX_Dmacrzom6_uah84dZ7Dz9N_fBys3gxLi_4shhJhOsM-fB5KTzMNyFBdzEl1gfuAKbKPihM7RyMtJO43AW2blGjJE4uYR4xmGgixrRn_zB3fk5rjzMW0EdUk/s640/wow+embossing+atc+flights+of+fancy+stamp.JPG" width="510" /></a></div>
For
the final card I used a piece of scrap packaging as a base which I
layered with denim scraps, tiny wooden shapes, old brads and gems. I
covered with gesso to allow my paint spray to adhere properly then added
Copper Ultra High, Chocolate Caramel Pearl and Primary Blue Tang
powders into the wet spray once again and melted. For the main
embellishment I have used a leave stamp from the Flights of Fancy stamp
set which I stamped onto card and coloured with a paint spray. To create
a beautiful iridescent two tone effect I melted Pearl Green powder on
top of the wet spray.<br />
<br />
