Bright & Beautiful Spring

The start of a new week mean a new challenge over at The Shabby Tearoom! I am host this week and have chosen this beautiful Spring photo to get inspired with and ask you create card or project using the COLOURS LILAC, YELLOW, BLUE and KRAFT plus a BUTTERFLY!

I've used the Vintage Wallpaper background and Botanical Butterflies stamps from this weeks sponsor JustRite who are giving away an amazing prize of stamps, including: Shabby Music, Harlequin Script & Vintage Map Collage Background.

I have also used papers, flowers and notecards from Prima's new "Songbird" range on this easel card. The nest, vine and large blue flower are also from Prima.

A Box of Tricks

Over at the Daring Cardmakers blog it's my turn as dare-setter this week and I'd like you to feature a box, or something box-shaped on your projects - it could be a 3D project, decorated box, box shaped embellishments...once you start thinking outside the box (!) you can come up with some fun ideas!
We hope you have fun with this week's challenge and we're looking forward to seeing your Boxing Clever creations.

I've used papers and flowers from Prima's new Songbird range, which I think is perfect for Easter! This plain wooden bird house has been painted with acrylic paints, then had a coat of Crackle Paint on the roof (in Picket Fence) and highlighted with Aqua paint dabber. I'm in love with the cute little Prima bird's nests and popped on top of some green seam binding I snipped up to resemble grass! And of course the house wouldn't be comple without a birdie, and I've used a resin songbird which has been spritzed with glimmer mist.

Be Lovely

Hello and happy weekend! The card I'm sharing today is based on the sketch challenge over at the My Minds Eye blog

I've used the new MME 'Follow Your Heart - Be Happy' range of papers, brads and layered stickers in these adorable soft spring colours! The doily paper in this range is a new favourite of mine, and I've used them here by cutting out doilies to layer behind the bird 3D sticker.
The bunting has been made by cutting hexagons from one of the paper designs and die cutting circles, which I've then folded over some Bakers Twine. I think this is a very delicate and quite simple card, but perfect for this time of year!

Pennant Party!

In The Shabby Tearoom, Debbie is our wonderful host this week and asks we create card or project using the COLOURS FROM THE PHOTO AND INCLUDE A BANNER OR PENNANT!

I thought it's be a fun idea to make a banner by snipping some scraps of ribbon into the shape of pennants and hanging it at the top of my card! Sweet mismatched buttons and this gorgeous felt flower trim add some more textured loveliness! I've used the Hummingbird Silhouette digi image from this weeks sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps who are giving away 7 digital images to out lucky winner.

Hop over to The Tearoom, we'd love to see what you create!
