Have yourself a retro Christmas
Hello everyone and I hope you're having a good. Today I am back with more Christmas cards!
You know when you have soft spots for certain cards you create and don't want to give them away? Well this is one of those!
I've used Pink Paislee's City Sidewalks collection (papers, chipboard snowflakes, die cut embellies). You just have to love some retro colours at this time of year, and they seem to work so well along with the pop of gold glitter.
The large die cut tag has been texturised with a chevron mask and gesso, then sprinkled with chunky glitter whilst it was still damp to create some interest and shimmer. I've layered a 3D star, twine, Crate clothes pin and glitter Thickers for the "happy" greeting. Can you tell how much I like these? ;) To finish off, I strung the little die cut pennants along to form a cute banner.
Bye for now!

Festive treat bags
Hey-lo and happy Friday! I have been hammering away at the Christmas projects recently and today I'm back with some festive gift bag.
For the bag, I've mixed up some papaers, using Vintage Vanity again and Hello Pastel - interesting to use Spring paper for Christmas! Also used inked and embossed canvas, distressed doily and a 3D star which can double up as a Christmas decoration.
The star is detachable, made with a die cut that has been scored and folded up to create the dimension. I've added Prima flowers, vellum snowflake and a bubble sticker then pegged it onto the bag with a Prima clothes pin.
Last but not least....
I created this treat pocket by cutting a sheet of 12x12 paper in half and then folding in half again (short way if that makes sense!) to create the basic bag. The two side edges have been glued down and next was decorating, using some scraps of paper (Hello Pastel, North Country), fake "snow" and a layered up snowflake.
Hoping your festive crafting is running smoothly!
Bye for now,

12 Days of Christmas
I'm back today (I know, a sudden flurry of activity, but I have lots to share :) ) with some cards I created for Prima's 12 Days of Christmas card challenge. The idea being to make a card using a set of products or particular range over 12 days.
This one has papers, masks and metal embellishments from Finnabair's line. I layered up Vintage Vanity papers, canvas which I texturised using the chequered mask and embossing paste then coloured with mists and ink. The giant chipboard "25" was painted in crackle paint and spritzed with gold mist. decontructed one of the zipper flowers and added that to the 5. I created a 3D star and decorated with Finn's metal embellies along with a Prima canvas snowflake. I really like the olive green with the pale blues, it makes a change from red!
This next card was the most fun to create! I started out by printing a stags head image which I snipped out and covered with my spare / random / odd letters. All those Z's. Q's and X's came to good use! Really like the way this turned out, so different and resourceful! I've also used some resist canvas full stops as decoration. Another fun idea was to die cut some large flowers (coincidentally the range are called Snowcone) into snowflakes. I finished with some metal accents, glittered bubble stickers and mesh.
The next card is meant to be "frugal" - a complete contrast to the last two cards! Layered paper with added interest of stitching created interest without many products. I've used a North Country rub on, Prima crystals and net trim as my frugal accents.
And finally...
This card was for the Ingvild Bolme day, using resin corners, bird and clock hands from her range. The wreath was created from a Prima vine which I twisted into shaped, added some extra festive red flowers. I've coloured the birdie with pens and inks to transform him into a robin... and of course some ink and paint splats.

Winter Bright LO's
Hello! Today I am sharing a couple of layouts created using Prima's Build A Page sketch. First up is November's sketch:
I think I chose colours to brighten up a dull Winter day! As I've used a stark white background, I decided to add lots of poppy colours in the form of ink, liquid pearls and misting. I kept with the denim theme throughout using a Prima zipper flower (Sunset Sunrise) which I pulled apart for leaves and edging.
And as you can see I'm currently rather obsessed with denim..... This was using the September BAP. I've used a beautiful aqua background (Prima Firefly) and added masculine embellishments and colours. The "Lifetime" arrow stamp is so cute! I stamped and cut out aforementioned arrows, then added extra stamping. The main feature is made up of denim, cotton material, mesh, Prima metal "junk" and a splish sploshing of ink.

Sparkly Joy
Just posting another quick snowy themed Christmas card today. For this kitsch little number I used October Afternoon papers, rub ons and labels plus the glittery Thickers are back!
Finished with a splash of pain and glitter. Wishing you all a great weekend!

It's beginning to look a lot like...
...Christmas! Time is indeed flying and we're only a few weeks away from it! This year I'm trying to be somewhat more organised that usual (well for me anyway) and get a few cards under my belt before December arrives.
I've also added some of my customary messy cotton and and ink splats...
TFL!

July PPP
Hello and happy Friday! I'm back again (so soon I hear you say ;) ), this time to share a card I created for this month's Prima Product Pick challenge.
I was loving these colours, and went for a male-themed card using papers from the Craftsman range and some grungy metal embellies (a mix of Prima and old clock parts!). And voila, one grungy, steampunk card!
Hope you all have a great weekend.
Time Flies...
Yes, I admit it. I've been a lazy blogger again. Ooops! Anyhow, I'm back to show you two layouts I created for Prima's challenges last month.
This is the sketch and this is what I did...
This layout is follows the above colour scheme, using masking, lots of layers, more zips (!) and flowers cut from a sheet of Blue Bayou paper (from the Lifetime range).

Me, Myself & I
Hello! I realised it's been a while since I popped on here, doesn't time fly?! Anyhow, here is a layout I created for Prima's Build A Page sketch from March.
The sketch:
I did lots of paper prep on this one, using masks (Sunset Sunrise range), stamps, mists, black net and clear embossing paste. I've used lots of rich toned flowers and embellishments plus resist canvas among the many accents. And my current obession with burlap continues...
I hope you enjoy! I've lots to do so better get on with it!!!

A {belated} Happy Easter!
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Easter break. I have a few Spring / Easter themed cards to share today.
For this bright and breezy card I've used Prima's Hello Pastel flowers and paper, a canvas bird and a hand painted polystyrene egg. I've used canvas as the backing with added texture from a chevron mask used with embossing paste and highlighted with paints.
For my second cardI've used a decorative round card blank, ruffled crepe paper, organza trim and a mix of Prima papers. I cut a polystyrene egg in half and painted with acrylic paint and a splash of mist.
The last card has a similar theme, this time using Melissa Frances papers and tissue trim. Plus pom poms!

Build A Page sketches
Hey there, hope you are all having a good weekend. I'm back with a couple of lay outs to share with you today!
The first one is January's Prima Build A Page sketch.
I've used a relatively plain background paper (from the Yuki collection) along with swipes of gesso paint, black netting, resist canvas and of course a (small) selection of Prima blooms. The cool colours are prefect for the icy picture!
Ready for a close up:
My next lay out is using papers from the Firefly collection (Prima again!) which is a current favourite. I've distressed the paper with swipes of pink and white paint and a polka dot mask. I've layered up the photo and added lots of texture and popping colour from the flowers and resist canvas.
