Hello, Hello...

...Hello and happy Friday! I have a layout to share today, created using May's Build  A Page sketch over on the Prima blog. I had lots of fun playing around and altering for this LO.

...and the sketch...

I've used mulberry tissue paper for texture, which I covered in diluted Dusty Concord Crackle paint (it was more for the colour than the crackle) plus splodges and splats with Luminarte mica powders.

Lots of fun using the chalkboard frames, cut out from a sheet of "You & Me" 12x12 paper from Prima's Optimist collection. I love the pops of colour against the black!

I've used the Free Spirit ATC cards in various ways, cutting out a hole and using as a frame for one of the photos and cutting the "Hello" from one of the cards.

I like how a lot of the elements to this page came together unexpectedly, that's the fun part right?

Hugs,

Tutorial #2 - Steampunk Sea

Hello! Today's post is following on from my previous post, continuing my video tutorial sharing month of May, so here is tutorial #2! From a personal point of view, I always enjoy watching start to finish tutorials to fully see all whats going on through each step and seeing things taking shape, which is what I have done with my videos.

My latest tutorial is a canvas I created using various goodies, from Prima Color Bloom mists, fabrics, embossing (or modelling) paste, and an unexpected apperance from some cotton wool!

Hoping you guys will enjoy it x

Explore Within

Hello all! I have a layout to share today, based on this month's Build a Page sketch over on the Prima blog.

The sketch -

I went with a bit of a denim theme along with a hint of industrial!

A few details: I've used an Ingvild Bolme Junkyard metal label and a label I made for the title, along with a piece of old screwdriver, which I thought looked rather cool!

Prima epoxy circle stickers, stamps, doodling and an old screw hook question mark make up the circled area from the sketch.

I cut this frame from cork, stamped the edges and backed it with mesh. Perfect to sit the pictures in :)

Thanks for looking, have a great rest of the week,

Happy Easter

Hello and Happy Easter! I hope you're having a lovely spring holiday whatever you're doing!

I'm back today with my final Easter card, created using the colours from this month's Product Pick challenge over on the Prima blog.

These colours are just the epitome of Spring!

Eggs, nests, chicks and assortment of Prima blooms are the order of the day...

For the main focal point I've used a polystyrene egg which I cut in half and painted with acrylic paint then added some gold leaf for a really cool effect. Notice the resin chickie egg has also been given the gold leaf treatment....

This Ingvild Bolme resin frame has been painted and has the egg sat upon it!  The "happy" was stamped onto twill ribbon and popped onto the egg under a feather.

Have great week :)

Easter nest cards

Mid-week greetings everyone! The Easter / Spring break is looming this weekend, so of course I had to  share this pair of seasonal cards -

These have been created with some Fimo clay eggs I made and little nests rope twine, along with those soft pastel Spring colours.

Some beautiful guinea fowl feathers and twigs I added for the full natural effect...

Isn't Spring full of natural loveliness?!
